YEAR 11 NETBALL MATCHES

On Monday 22 October, Warblington's Year 11 Netball Team played their final matches at Cowplain School.  The Team was sad that this was going to be the last time they were going to play in the Netball League.  However, we were determined to win.  During the first gam against Cowplain, we were a bit slow and sloppy, although we won the match with a big goal difference.  We upped our gam against Horndean and rallied together as a team, playing much better.  We used our tactics, amazing skills and agaility to win the last game against Oaklands, making us the winner of the league for the third year.

Results

Cowplain 0-10 Warblington
Horndean 4-9 Warblington
Oaklands 5-11 Warblington

Congratulations to the Team for winning the League and Tournament:
Claire Lambden, Gabrielle Payne, Katherine Ede-Jones, Holly Weaver, Lucy Bailey, Rachel Wigley and Isobel Gwyn.

This is a great end to the season and to us playing as an amazing team.  Also, thank you to Miss Chambers for her coaching and umpiring.

Katherine Ede-Jones, Year 11.

YEAR 9 NETBALL TOURNAMENT

A massive well done to the Year B Netball Team.  We won our pool in the tournament which everyone was ecstatic about but this also meant we got through to the Semi-Finals and played against the Warblington A Team.  Unfortunately for us the A Team beat us 3-1 and they got through to the Finals, which left the B Team fininishing in third place overall.  It was an amazing achievement and I am very proud of everyone in both teams.  I would also like to say a big well done to Rebecca Ede-Jones for getting Player of the Match.  Thank you and well done to all the supporters and especially the Team.

Emily Tier, Georgina O'Hagan, Amina Benyahya, Rebecca Ede-Jones, Georgia Wenham, and Erin Offord.

Chloe Bradbury, Year 9.

YEAR 9B NETBALL v COWPLAN COMMUNITY SCHOOL
AND WARBLINGTON A TEAM

On Wednesday 15 October, Warblington B Team played two matches, one against Cowplain, which we won with flying colours with a score of 6-3 to us.  We also played a match against the Warblington A Team, which we drew 2-2.  It was a great match and well done to everyone who took part. We would like to say a massive well done to Georgie O'Hagan who was actually ill on the day, but came in especially to play the Netball Match because she didn't want to let the whole team down. A massive thank you to all the supporters and especially the team.

Georgina O'Hagan, Amina Benyahya, Rebecca Ede-Jones, Georgia Wenham, Sheida Kiran and Isabel Stroud.

YEAR 11 NETBALL TOURNAMENT

On Monday15 October, Warblington School's Year 11 Netball Team played at Cowplain Community School in the battle to win the Netball Tournament.  Each match was five minutes long, due to the many matches each school had to play.  Due to the weather in previous weeks, we have been unable to play some of the schools which meant we didn't know what to expect.  Also, one of our players got an injury during the day, resulting in each player having to play every match due to no subs.  However, the team used their amazing skills and agility to win this tournmanent for the third year in a row.

Results:

Horndean A 0-6 Warblington Purbrook A 1-3 Warblington
Crookhorn A 0-4 Warblington Hayling A 2-3 Warblington
Oaklands A 0-4 Warblington Cowplain A 1-6 Warblington

Congratulations to the whole team: Claire Lambden, Gabrielle Payne,
Katherine Ede-Jones, Holly Weaver, Lucy Bailey, Rachel Wigley, Isobel Gwyn and thank you to Lianna Dady and Katie Remnant for their support and help with the scoring.

Katherine Ede-Jones, Year 11

YEAR 11 NETBALL v HAYLING COLLEGE

On Monday 8 October, Warblington School's Year 11 Netball Team played at Cowplain Community School against Hayling College.  After hearing they had currently won all their matches, we were hesitant about what we were about to face.  However, once again, our skills and agility won us the match with a score of 9-2 against Hayling.  Congratulations to the whole team.

Now we are preparing for our tournament on Monday 15 October.

YEAR 11 NETBALL V BOURNE COMMUNITY COLLEGE
